The Sustainable Maryland program has become the leading proponent of sustainability in Maryland and a model for the rest of the country. Over 80 Green Teams have been formed by local governments in 21 counties across the State and are working to implement community gardens, renewable energy projects, education and outreach programs, and dozens of other actions. 

These Green Teams look to Sustainable Maryland for support and guidance as they work to improve their communties and address our most important statewide sustainability issues.
