Urban Forestry Careers Camp

SM Certification / Re-Certification Webinar

Join Sustainable MD staff on Wednesday, April 10 from 1:00 - 2:00pm for an overview of the 2024 Sustainable Maryland certification cycle and a review of the new certification tier.
For those municipalities that last became certified in 2021, this year brings many new additions to our program and the certification process, including:
- A new Silver SM Certification Tier
- More than 20 new SM Actions
- New SM Action Categories
So whether your municipality will be applying for certification for the very first time, or for re-certification this year, and you are looking for inspiration for new Actions, or updating your Action Plan, please join us on April 10.

Maryland Land Conservation Conference

Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Kent Island, MD
This special two-day, in-person, conference will examine the current state of Chesapeake Bay restoration, smart growth, and conservation successes, while discussing how to plan for climate change, fiscal uncertainty, and emerging environmental challenges.
This event, to be held on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay and within sight of the Bay Bridge, will include multiple education tracks, facilitated discussions, demonstrations, networking opportunities, and nearly 50 local, regional and national speakers.
Conference attendees should expect dynamic discussions on everything from Chesapeake Bay Blueprint and smart growth successes, to new conservation tools, the latest in climate adaptation, and important fundamental land trust knowledge.
