2021 Maryland Environmental Legislative Summit

Tune into the Annual Maryland Environmental Summit to fight for key environmental bills in the 2021 Maryland General Assembly!

January 26, 2021 - 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Virtual

Tune in virtually to the annual Maryland Environmental Summit, sponsored by the coalition of Maryland environmental groups known as CCE (Citizens Campaign for the Environment)!  Learn about and rally for passage of important environmental bills in the General Assembly's 2020 session including:

    • Increasing Maryland’s greenhouse gas reduction requirements to 60% below 2006 levels by 2030 and net neutral by 2045
    • Banning plastic bags at the point of sale at retail locations
    • Fighting dangerous PFAS "forever chemicals" that are polluting our waterways and putting health at risk
    • Funding the Maryland Transit Administration's (MTA) Capital Needs and electrifying MTA buses

There will be presentations by both environmental advocates and leading members of the General Assembly.
