Discover a working farm high above the city on the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) campus. Architect David Bell and UDC greenhouse/green roof coordinator Sandy Farber lead a tour of the rooftop farm, greenhouse with hydroponics and aquaponics, and pollinator garden. Learn how the farm is used to research and promote best practices for urban food production while helping D.C. residents become healthier through access to fresh, nutritious food. After the tour, continue the conversation on urban agriculture and sustainable design with your fellow explorers at Acacia Food & Wine.
